A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words (or tweets.. or actions.. or donations)

by Dawn Washelesky, Creative Manager

Last month, Salsa asked to share your organizations' missions at SxSW through your photography – you responded in great numbers! Selecting the photos that were included in the slideshow, as well as the winners of our contest, was a tough task. There were just so many emotional, compelling photos with powerful stories to tell. In the end, we were able to pull off an amazing slideshow for the nonprofit folks that were visiting the Beaconfire "Lounge With A Conscience" at SxSW Interactive 2012. The overall reception to your images was outstanding, and we couldn't be more proud to share them.

With that, I wanted to share with you the slideshow – see what incredible work is being done around the world. From volunteering locally, to teaching peacebuilding methods in Rwanda; all of these missions are a part of our community.

Below is Salsa's Slideshow found on YouTube

Last, but certainly not least, are our submission winners. Please watch for an email if you were selected!
