Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s move on to how you can establish your organization's presence as an authority in your industry area.
Participate in Twitter chats about topics of interest to your industry niche and your supporters. Twitter chats give you a chance to engage with new individuals and/or entities that share passion for your organization’s cause.
Once you have familiarized yourself with the Twitter landscape, save searches for industry or keyword hashtags that will connect you with like minded people. Participate in these conversations regularly.
Utilize Free Tools
Visit Moz.com for lots of great SEO-related resources, including two of our favorites, Followerwonk and Tweetchup. Followerwonk allows you to find social influencers in your field and track who they interact with. Expand your social media voice by engaging with these communities. Another great is Tweetchup, a tool tracks handle mentions and retweets. This is a great way to track who is engaging with you. Within the platform itself, we recommend exploring Twitter Lists and the hashtag discovery tool mentioned above to join social conversations of interest.
