Let’s talk about your email fundraising campaigns. We all know they are a great way to quickly reach supporters in an incredibly cost-effective manner. Plus, let’s face it, people like to be able to make their donations online without worrying about writing a check or finding a stamp. Now, Salsa is going to help you make the online giving process even easier with a brand new feature. It’s called QuickDonate and in partnership with a company called OneID, it allows supporters to register their information once and donate with just a click in future email asks. It will be available to you in October.
Here’s how it works:
- Users can automatically enroll in OneID after they complete an online donation.
- As long as they don’t opt-out, the OneID account is set up using the information provided in that donation. No extra work is needed from you or the supporter.
- When a donor receives emails from you in the future, the email will include a QuickDonate button. When a supporter clicks, the information from their OneID account is provided to your donation page automatically, sent through the usual payment processor, and the donor goes straight to the donation confirmed page.
- You still get all the same information as if the donor had filled out the form, conveniently tracked and stored in your Salsa platform.
It’s super easy and super secure. I could give you all the technical language (want it? Read more about OneID technology) but basically, OneID works like a safe deposit box. You need two keys to access a supporters information- one on the supporters’ device(s) and one in OneID’s cloud. When a supporter goes to log in, both keys are requested. With them, they are in with a click. Without them- access is denied.
QuickDonate is included as part of Fundraise with Salsa tools. It'll be ready for you this October. In the meantime, if you have any questions, contact your account manager. You can also learn more about OneID technology and how it works.
