First launched in 2012, Giving Tuesday has become an international celebration of giving. This year, the Giving Tuesday organization has launched a separate Day of Global Action for Giving and Unity in Response to COVID-19, also known as #GivingTuesdayNow.
Unlike past Giving Tuesday events, nonprofit organizations do not have months to prepare fundraising activities and campaigns. Instead, they will create meaningful email campaigns, social posts, and smaller activities that can be put together quickly, or use this special theme as they virtualize previously scheduled live events.
The Salsa team has updated our Giving Tuesday Collection and corresponding Guide for #GivingTuesdayNow. While some of the best practices remain the same, this guide reflects the short timeline and the need to remain digital and online only.
